Ms. BJ serves as a key member of BACA’s administrative staff, providing essential operational and organizational support to the association’s programming. She plays an integral role in ensuring the smooth coordination of schedules, communication, and program logistics, allowing coaches and athletes to focus on development and performance.

Coach Shonne is a dedicated member of BACA’s instructional staff, specializing in the training and development of majorette dance athletes. He brings energy, discipline, and creativity to his instruction, helping athletes build strong foundations in technique, performance quality, and confidence.

Coach Jazz brings more than 20 years of cheerleading experience to the BACA team, with a background that spans from athlete development to serving as a high school cheerleading coach. Throughout her career, she has developed a passion for building strong, confident athletes by emphasizing the importance of mastering the fundamentals of cheerleading as the foundation for proper technique and long-term success.

Coach Dani serves as BACA’s Southwestern Ohio Regional Commissioner, leading the organization’s efforts to expand programming, build community partnerships, and strengthen relationships with athletes, coaches, schools, and organizations throughout the region. Passionate about creating opportunities through cheer, Coach Dani plays a key role in growing BACA’s presence while helping connect communities to resources, leadership development, and transformative experiences within cheer and dance.

Coach Pri serves as BACA’s Central Ohio Regional Commissioner, supporting BACA’s mission by building strategic partnerships, expanding community engagement efforts, and helping create meaningful opportunities for athletes and families throughout Central Ohio. Through leadership, relationship-building, and a commitment to youth development, Coach Pri helps strengthen BACA’s impact while advancing the organization’s vision of excellence, empowerment, and access within cheer and dance.

Coach D serves as BACA’s Regional Commissioner for the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Region, bringing more than 25 years of cheerleading and program leadership experience to the organization. With over two decades dedicated to youth cheer development, she has built a strong reputation for coaching excellence, athlete mentorship, and program development. Danielle also serves as Assistant Athletic Director and Head Cheer Program Director at Cincinnati College Preparatory Academy (CCPA), where she leads student-athlete development both academically and athletically.

With over two decades of experience in the cheerleading and dance industry, Coach Jay is a respected and dynamic leader known for developing confident, high-performing athletes on and off the mat. Her career is rooted in a passion for excellence, equity, and empowerment—values that align seamlessly with the mission of the Black American Cheer and Dance Association (BACA).
Coach Jay is a certified STUNT Official and holds multiple coaching credentials, including certifications from USA Cheer, The American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Administrators (AACCA), The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS), and the National Intercollegiate Association for STUNT Officials. Her commitment to professional development ensures she brings the highest standards of safety, innovation, and instruction to every athlete she serves.
A former UCA All-Star, Jay’s competitive spirit and discipline were evident early in her journey. While pursuing her college degree, she earned the coveted role of Co-Captain of The Columbus Crewzers, the professional dance team for Major League Soccer’s Columbus Crew—a testament to her skill, leadership, and work ethic.
Her expertise spans tumbling technique, choreography, stunting, and athlete development across school-based, recreational, and all-star divisions. For nine years, she served as Head Cheerleading Coach at Denison University, where she cultivated a culture of academic and athletic excellence. Today, she proudly leads the Wright State University Competitive Cheerleading Team, shaping a new generation of collegiate athletes.
A veteran of the United States Army, Coach Jay brings unparalleled discipline, structure, and resilience to her coaching philosophy. She approaches her work with BACA with the same integrity and drive, creating spaces where Black cheerleaders and dancers are celebrated, supported, and seen.
Coach Jay is not only a coach—she is a mentor, a changemaker, and a champion for youth, using cheer and dance as powerful tools for empowerment, inclusion, and lifelong success.
